Beauty


It may seem like a small thing to those of you who live in warmer climates, but in Traverse City, we don't see the sun much in the winter. Today, I just need to say "Thanks God! for the sunshine!" It glistens on the snow and lifts my spirits.

Being that I'm a transplant to the south I understand completely. I remember those Michigan winters and we weren't in one of the lake effect snow belts. I remember day after day of clouds. To a point it was like that in Upstate New York as well. Have a great week!

FLAME

I am taking classes in the Wesleyan church for ordination. Most of the classes I take at FLAME (Fellowship of Leaders Aquiring Ministerial Education) Basically, I do a bunch of pre-work, go to school for a week and then have post work. It has been a great experience, despite how much studying I do. (Brian wonders if I am ever coming out of the den again) I recently went to North Carolina to study Wesleyan History and Discipline and also an Evangelism class. I have some amazing stories to tell. God was soo good. It's amazing what 40 minutes of quiet before the Lord can do for you! I get so busy talking to God and telling Him everything that I don't let Him get a word in edgewise....how sad. God suprised us all by some of the events that took place in our evangelism experience! It has been a long while since I have posted. So what have I been doing? Church. Fresh Start Community Church is a new church in Interlochen, Michigan, just outside of Traverse City. It has been an amazing journey! We started services in December and held our official launch on March 7th. It has been a whirlwind of a trip but I am so excited to see what God has in store for this new church. We held a carnival on Saturday, March 6th and we had over 400 people in attendance. It was well received and we pray to see some of those people walk through our church doors in the coming weeks. Thank You, Lord for allowing me to be a part of this awesome opportunity that is so much bigger than I am. You know the plans you have for Interlochen. Plans to prosper and not to harm. Plans to give a hope and a future. Guide us and direct us in Your way. I want to see YOU!!! Fresh Start meets on Sunday mornings at 11am in the Interlochen Library's Fellowship Hall.
