Conformed or Transformed?

Music amazes me. It can set the mood and tone for your day. It can change your day. It can lift you up. The flip side...it can bring you down, as well depending on what you are listening to. For the past couple of weeks, I have set my alarm to wake me up to the song "Trading My Sorrows". I have been amazed at how it has changed my view on the day. If I wake up with anything heavy on my heart, it is a reminder that I need to give that to the Lord and trade my frustration, anger, worry, sadness, ect.... for the joy of the Lord. Listen to the song....let it speak to your heart as it does every morning to mine...

Have you ever had one of those days where you just feel kinda down? You might be a little overwhelmed by the busyness of life and giving everything over to God. I had a day like that today. I wanted to find an excuse to not go to small group and just veg out for the night, but I knew that wouldn't be healthy, so I went anyhow. It was good to be there and our opening activitity was to talk about one of our favorite hymns or worship songs. The song "Trading My Sorrows" came to mind. I have many favorites, but this song has been on my heart all night. Look at these words..........
